there's a curry place round the corner that does the hottest curry this side of........anywhere. For those of you of a louche disposition, the subterranean bar at Jolyons takes some beating. Don't mind all those familiar faces - they're probably filming Doctor Who.

There's a PizzaExpress on the SW corner of the plaza.
And open to midnight I see. A good place to refuel and possibly hang out with extra puds & plonk if the climate should turn out to be less than Mediterranean. Oh and it does Al Fresco if it is truly balmy ...

Barring a lycra ban that's going to be my destination methinks ... thanks C.

I love that man! Why shouldn't he take a pony on a train? How many of us, on bus trips in far-off lands, have not been handed a pig or a chicken to carry?

Thom the cat has been journeying by bicycle recently. (He hates it.) What animals could we take with us on a night ride?

BTW - guess which dollsome doll made the front page of Broadcast today? (sorry, just can't stop myself). New SuperIndie gets launched!

Does a little newt count?

There are many '...as a newt' quite often. They can't count.

How can marinyork insinuate that "she's past it" (I paraphrase) but it was something like that. Congratulations! (Gis a job! )

Quick Transport update for Swanseapeeps!

The good news is that thanks to a bunch of people cycling up or getting lifts, there's a bit of slack in the train capacity (unless there's another large cycling event I don't know about). I know of one unused reservation on the 20:28, and I have TWO SPARE tickets with bike reservations for that one, so if anyone wants these, please get in touch. But the chances of getting your bike on the train on spec, even on the later services, are now quite good.

If that's not certain enough for you, bung your bike on the van and meet me in Cardiff. I will be with the van in Swansea High Street, a few hundred yards from the station, for loading bikes on, between 8pm and 9:30pm. It will be parked outside my workplace (or as near as possible), which is 229 High St - a large shopfront with closed blue shutters, opposite the Talk of the Town nightclub and Blacks the camping store. Big Silver Transit. The van will leave at 9:30pm. If you need to drop your bike off earlier than 8pm, get in touch.

Collecting your bike at Cardiff
: I will be with the van in the car park behind the station (that's the South side of the station), from 10:45 until 11:30pm.I'll leave earlier if all the bikes are collected, so I'll appreciate it if you can colloect it sooner rather than taking it to the wire. The start of the ride is only five minutes ride away.

I have loads of bike room.

Ms. Newt. I'm arriving in Cardiff Central about 25 miinutes before you. I will guide those on my train to the start and then return to the station to escort you and any others on your train. You should have my telephone number - just give me a call when you're pulling in to the station......

I'm on that train, and I'll have Claud's recommended route on the Garmin, so happy to lead people down to the start, but no bother either way.
