The thought did cross my mind, and lodged there for a few hours, but the weather was awful, and Staff Nurse Lu, who is lovely and kind and gentle, and who is from Wudang in mainland China, has said 'cycling is not forbidden but merely strongly discouraged in the short term' and has made me promise not to get my dressings wet, under any circumstances, until I'm healed so I let the train take the strain.

and besides I can't wear a helmet with staples in my head.
