Ah yes! Lovely scenes by there Dave. (I was doing my 'Wear a yellow jersey and no helmet look + shorts" - so that regulars would at least see a Simon look-a-like...because he was ill and not coming, except he turned up and looked a lot better at the end than at the beginning of that ride.)
I'm useless - was that where User10571 hit the snooze button once too often?

I remember that ride.. Unfortunately i'm going to have to pull out of this one. Horsey problems, so have a good ride everyone and i'll see you all soon. :-)

Big Steev likes wearing check shoes when he rides thro' the night!

'Vans' I believe...not chef's slip-ons - like what I called them once

And I probably shall be wearing them again. Now I just have to decide which bike. Geared or fixed? I suspect it might be geared as the brake on the fixed isn't the best due to a lack of machined brake surface.

Metcheck now showing about 3mm of rain and BBC showing none. The cat has just gone out of the back door, and he reckons it will be dry.

As a FNRttC virgin I'm really looking forward to this. But what to wear, what to wear.......

rb58.....Given you are in Bexley i believe that automatically entitles you to enrollment into the "Bromley Massive" but you may have to check with Ian first  I along with Ian and Andy A are from the great parish of Bromley so assuming I make it tonight it would be good to say hello !

What to wear is always a toughie. Its not been too cold at night recently however i think it will be cooler due to the rain today. Would suggest layers that you can easily take off or put on depending on what the weather does. I always take gloves and a buff as well just in case I get cold. Would also suggest a light weight water proof if you have one that you can pack away.

Shorts, leg warmers (for removal in the morning when it warms up), vest, short sleeve shirt, arm warmers (for removal in the morning), buff (pirate stylee), fingerless gloves....oh yes and a light waterproof/windproof jacket as it may be a bit chilly or a little damp very early morning..
