I no longer see Davy S, Has Mr Walnuts dropped out?

Sorry, yes. Returned back this week from a week in the Spanish sun and returned with all sorts of health problems, mainly, man flu, but blocked ears, runny nose and eyes, lack of fitness, I need to be put down...

Have a good one, and remember, its always dry once in the Waterfront, where smiles and beers are served. Enjoy.

Shame you're not on this Davy. I think someone needs to point out how lethal the decking at the Waterfront can be when it's wet though. Wouldn't want anyone to fall over!!

It was last used on the Emsworth ride, which was biblically wet at times.
Biblically wet - true. But only to Pebblecombe. Barely two hours ... tonight it could be all eight hours! Must be a contender for wettest ride of the year. Possibly ever on a FNRttC?

And I can't swim ...

Have a good ride, you brave plucky people. Metcheck are describing the rain in DA1 and CT1 as torrential.
Mind you,the rest of tomorrow is forecast as being a nice day.:sun:

I was going to make this ride the opportunity to achieve a first 200 miler. It was probably the last chance this year.

Brighton via the Cabin Cafe. And I doubt it will be as wet as Manchester-Morecambe.

The good news is that it will dry sometime after 5. The bad news is that the dry will come in the form of a cold north wind.

You know this thing with asking us to take our shoes off (which is fine with me btw), have you got someone with a mop handy for squelchy socks traipsing across your new floor?? :rain:
This sounds a sensible idea and I will have a word with the authorities (my wife) She was more concerned about the scratchiness of cleated shoes, but I am not sure that a river of water is going to be a good for it either.

There won't be an issue with everyone getting into the hall and out of the rain, so no need to queue outside.

Okay, I've just been given a flu vaccine (stupid GP doesn't check the Fridays' calendar before organising such things), and only really have one set of cold-weather kit, so in the interests of not repeating the Morecambe ride's general misery or the Exmouth Exodus's near miss with hypothermia, I'm chickening out.

Good luck, everyone. See you on Burnham, hopefully.
