I'm contemplating going on a bike trip that starts in Faro (southern Portugal) and ends in Roscoff (northern France) where I'll take the ferry to Plymouth.
Just wondering if there's anyone here that has done a similar trip to this before? Do you have any general advice or recommendations on where to bike and camp?
Cheers

Lin there's a good few places hi-lighted on your previous post but this site shows hundreds of campsites: http://en.camping.info/portugal/campsites - move around the map and it updates to that area you're over. As I previously mentioned I found a campsite chain that was open 364 days a year (great for out-of-season) and scattered along the coastal length of Portugal at reasonable distances apart to make good progress each day. If you follow the coastal route you should find it relatively easy finding places to camp.

Crossing Spain to France, don't be deterred by the mountains and skirt around the side of them!! From a distance they do appear so big that you'll think "I'll never cross those!" but as you get closer approaching the foot of the mountains they start enticing you forward, drawing you up and in for some beautiful scenery you'll be glad you done it! then again maybe I'm biased toward mountains as I love snowboarding ;-)
