Hi,
I'm on my way from the North Cape of Norway to Cape Agulhas, South Africa together with two friends. Currently I am in Istanbul and will head over the mountains and to Syria in a few days. Does anyone have experiences travelling in the Middle East by bike? We will go through Syria, Libanon, Jordan and Israel before Egypt.

Check out this chap's travelogue on CGOAB. He's been down through Europe, Istanbul, through the Middle East, the -stans, a bit of China and is now in Pakistan. IMHO It's been a brilliant read with stunning pics. He had his bike nicked in Turkey and was left only wearing the clothes in which he stood. Anyway he got another bike and gear, and is now well and truly back on the road.
