Where do you go after going through Williams farm lane? Left at Dam Head Lane & then left & then right towards the back of the moss? Or do you you use the old Liverpool Road? I used to work at Lanstar for 12 years ending 1999.

You live just around the corner from a mate of mine, he commutes into Manc on a Boardman.

Cool, I can't say I've seen him to be fair but I am not an early riser. Just as well we don't go the same way, I don't suppose he has a gear to go as slow as me.

Personally, on my city centre commute I think I see more cyclists who inconsiderately ride on pavements and jump red lights than I see motorists exceeding the speed limits.

But the point I'm making is that if cyclists ignore (or seem to condone the breaking of) laws regarding their use of the road, what is the basis for complaining about the illegal or inconsiderate behaviours by motorists?

Cyclists are not a uniform group, but a collection of independant individuals. Therefore it is not true that because some cyclists break laws as and when they feel like it that all of them do. Any individual cyclist who does obey the traffic laws has every right to criticise people who don't, whatever mode of transport they use, without being accused of hypocrisy.
