Hello

I can't move the chain from big to small chainring on my Allez

This is a bird's-eye view of the Shimano Ultegra front derailleur (top of picture is front of bike).

Does anyone know which adjuster screw I need to turn and in which direction, so that the derailleur cage pushes the chain onto the small chainring? Thanks.

Turning the screw closer to the frame counter-clockwise will allow the front mech to move closer to the frame under the mech's own spring tension (assuming the problem is not due to excessive cable tension, mech clashing with frame, etc.). It is easier to turn that (lower limit) screw when the mech is on the larger ring (higher gear) and vice versa. It is also preferable to use a flat (i.e. not Phillips cross) head screwdriver that is the right size to avoid slipping and damaging the head of the screw.
