A car knocked me off my bike some weeks ago - lucky only scrapes and bruises and relief that I can fly through the air at 69-years-old and land on my back with such minimal damage. The front wheel was wrecked but due replacement anyway.

I've just noticed today that my front derailleur looks bent to my untrained eye but I thought I'd ask the gurus for their diagnosis. What do ye reckon, guru friends?

Started young, and still going.

Barnet,
It does look like it is out of alignment. The plates should be more or less in line with the chainrings. Is it still shifting ok?
Is it a band on FD? If so you can loosen the clamp bolt and slowly move it back into position.

It's shifting but there's a trailing sound on the big chainring.
