Hello

What's the smallest amount I can expect to pay for a decent light?

I need something to illuminate a dark road. My current led lights are only really for being seen...

+1, nothing to add except check the battery capacity when buying as some are lower than other , try to get one with 4 x 18560 rather than 2 in the battery pack .

Order one from a UK seller. Check the big thread on T6 less. Impressed with mine for less than 30. My triple T6 has arrived after nearly 3 months. Got to go pay 11 import duty tomorrow

Be careful as batteries can be a bit crap, same with charger, but you can change them if they fail at this price for two lights (£11.99 in Aldi).

There are UK seller options too. Remember, if you need them, check feedback that they are UK based, as this time of year things take an age from China. I remember ordering my Magicshine rears in August for end of September delivery - arrived, but my recent order took 3 months ! I've had items in 3-4 weeks off peak before though.

If santas good i might replace my 3 ? year old MS with a cree xml t6, the DIY wiring job i did is functional but i think the battery might be starting to show a bit of age as they seem not to last as long although they charge to the same max voltage ,, not talking much mid charge every 2 days of commuting rather than 3 .

I bought one of the Cree clones off Amazon:

UK seller with a UK charger. Red light to indicate charging, which switches to green when full. I left it plugged in for eight hours at work and neither the charger or battery pack got hot, so it's definitely not one of the fire hazard variants.

See? See? You can probably see me from space when it's on. When I cycling across the fen, I love the tiny pairs of eyes it illuminates from hundreds of yards away.
