Front Mech Compatibility

Hope someone can help. I have ordered a Sora front mech. when i went to review the order from wiggle i noticed that i had ordered the triple and not the double as i had intended. I tried to change the order but wiggle have dispatched it already. will the triple work with the double shifter or am i going to have to return the item and buy the double mech?

It should work fine, you'll just have the limiters screwed in more.
Make sure you set it up right - i.e. position first, THEN limit screws, THEN cable tension - in that order. Don't be tempted to mess with cable tension first or try and mess with everything at once hoping you'll just suddenly hit upon the right combination.

thanks Bonj, i'm intending to download an idiots guide to adjusting the mech, i think i used one from SJS for the rear mech a couple of years ago.

a couple more things to pick up and i should be able to wheel the new commuter steed out in to daylight very soon
