Frozen garmin

My Garmin 520 won't progress beyond the start up screens. It either stops at the "Loading Maps" screen or the one after that. I've tried forcing it to mass storage and then deleting the new files folder as this seems to be what's recommended online, but that doesn't solve the issue.

Anyone got any other ideas?

Try this - connect it to Garmin Express, then it should load new software updates

Thanks for the suggestion. I've tried that and it hasn't worked.

Master reset then

1. Turn device off
2. Hold the Down key while powering on the device
3. Continue holding the down key until the “Factory Reset” prompt appears
4. Select OK to clear

Think I've managed to solve it. I'd uploaded a 400km course which it evidently didn't like. As soon as I deleted that course, it came back to life.
