FSA BB-4000 MegaExo. Spacer Required?

hi Folks
had to replace my BB (replaced like for like with one of these)
it didn't come with any spacers or washers.
I used the wave washer on the non-drive side that was always there, but i'm reading conflicting messages about whether you need a Spacer. i can't recall there ever being one on it.
it's a standard cannondale road bike, so 68mm BB shell
i've tightened up and doesn't seem to be any play.

I had BB4000 on a former bike, it didnt come with (and neither did the bike) a wavy washer

Perhaps for future reference, if youre replacing the BB because of play allowing the axle to slop around a bit, there is a plastic 'top hat' spacer that wears out, very poor design. You used to be alble to buy just the spacer, done it myself sometimes years ago.
