Fulcrum racing 5 8 speed

I've just got these wheels, but the hub is marked as for 11 speed cassettes. Mine is only 8 speed. There's an adapter that came with them for 9 and 10 speeds, so I'm guessing it's not backwards compatible. How can I put the 8 speed cassette on?

Oh yeah, they're the CX version.

have you tried the cassette with the spacer? Is it still loose?

Campag or Shimano? If it's Campag, then it's not compatible.

I stuck the 10/9sp spacer on and tried it anyway, seems to work - can't feel any play in it. Shimano, by the way.

The new wheels feel so much nicer than the old ones. They spin smoother, and none of that freewheeling cassette wobble either.

As long as the cassette isn't loose once the lock ring is tightened then it's good to go.
