I'm not feeling particularly morbid at present, but I had a discussion with other 50 somethings at work earlier who were surprised to hear that I've told my nearest and dearest the music I want at my funeral.

Anybody else done this?

Mine are:-

Barber Adagio (the sobby one from Elephant Man)
Bach Double Violin Concerto, 2nd movement (beautiful, uplifting music from the film Children of a lesser God)
Bob Marley and the Wailers - Redemption Song
Led Zeppelin - Thank you

A friend of mine has chosen Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd which seems appropriate, and another who's also intending to be cremated has in mind The Doors 'Come on Baby Light my Fire'

Don't know about music but certainly don't want the word "God" to be mentioned at any time.

We've had this thread before, and I'm still going with 'metal machine music'.
I didn't see the thread before, but I'm guessing "Living in a Box" and "Going Underground" got a mention?

If anyone says "My Way" I'm going to burst out laughing.
There's a funeral director near me called "I did it my way". But you're right, they almost certainly didn't.

As for me, I don't care, just throw me on the compost heap.
