First would be a the Clash Straight to hell

Then Cremate me ,chuck it in the dung spreader and spread on the field.

  1. Ha - I never did get round to learning to play the guitar.
  2. I never did cycle the Alps, Pyrenees or Dolomites.
  3. What a stupid way to go - I knew that I should have called the GP out last week!

Thanks for sharing that Colin and hopefully you achieve or have achieved 1 and 2, and if there is a next time that you bear number 3 in mind!

Not in anyway religious, but these may satisfy those who are

Steve Earle & The Del McCoury Band
(not sure that 'Copperhead Road' by Earle, with The Dukes' would be appreciated.....)

Or, for more entertainment/toe-tapping......................

Alison Kraus, with her version of 'Down To The River'
Again, I have no religious views at at all, I consider myself Agnostic, but this sends a shiver through me (probably the beauty of her singing)

Under consideration;

- Elgar, & 'Nimrod', from the 'Enigma Variations'
- 'Carnival Of The Animals' better known as the Fred Dibnah music

- this definitely a 'toe-tapper'!!!

Guru
I have informed Mrs Knees that I would like 'Dude Looks Like A Lady' by Aerosmith - a song I have no real feelings towards, in a style I don't really care for - just so people will be able to speculate as to whether or not they were supposed to play that or not afterwards - saves people having to think of small talk.

Progress report:
  1. I am still staring across the room at the guitar and thinking that I should pick it up and have a go!
  2. I am making good progress with my fitness so hopefully I will ride the big mountains before I get too old to enjoy them.
  3. Er, I got ill a second time, a year after the first time, and I hesitated again about seeing the doc. My sister got exasperated with me and dragged me off to her local A&E where tests confirmed what I had suspected but had been in denial about. Is there no end to my stupidity? (Well, there might be, but I haven't found it yet!)
