In the context of a funeral, it is a whole new meaning to the song

I had never thought of that in a funeral context. I might well add it to the list.
My ex BF bought me that, when it was in the charts (he wasn't my BF then, that all happened later) after we got caught in one heck of a storm in his Cessna going to the races. It was a bit of a scary incident, then 2 weeks later 5 Miles Out was released.

I dunno......maybe something by Joy Division. Although I really love "I second that emotion"...the Japan cover version. I really haven't thought about this at all. Certainly not some hymn or other, something uplifting that will bring a smile to people's faces.

TBH I couldn't really care less about what music gets played at my funeral, but I think it would be a laugh to bombard the mourners with Ace of Spades played loud!

What I did think of doing was to plan one last forum ride to the Yorkshire Dales from Hebden Bridge and get my sister to come on here after my death to organise it. I might even leave a few hundred quid from my estate to pay the mid-ride cafe bill!

I quite like the idea of a playlist, my last bastion of hope to educate the musical heathens/enforce my tastes upon them.

So, playing in the background would be Blackbird by Alter Bridge, Paradise City, Seet Child 'O' mine, Mr Brownstone & Civil War by G 'n' R. Stairway - Led Zepp, something by James Marshall Hendrix & God Save the Queen by the Sex Pistols amongst others.

(This is all during cremation & after show P1$$ Up).
