I saw a scaffolding lorry in West London about ten years ago.

"Proud of our erections"

We've got a scaffold company here - the vans all proudly proclaim - the quickest erection in town!

In Ripley, in Surrey there is a business that sell wooden out buildings, on the side of the road in large letters

"FREE ERECTIONS"

I used to see a flat bed truck running around Leeds with

DUXASS ROOFING

written along the side. I really don't know if it was a sneaky play on words or the roofers name.

His full name was Titus Aduxas.

There was a company in Shipston on Stour called Spook Erection Company. As a teenager I shocked my (extremely prim and prudish) mother by blurting out "Is that how they put the willies up people?"
