I don't wish to be unduly pessimistic, but it's a short road and if you're looking at the right one I think you'd've found the right view by now.

I can't be too far away but I keep going rounds bends and finding myself in the middle of woods with no more views.

Still, I am looking at some lovely countryside so it isn't a complete waste of time...

I'll give it another 30 minutes tonight and then take a break until tomorrow.

I'd identified the section of river from your final photo, but finding a road which actually had a view of it was tricky.

It was tricky pining down a road that was sufficiently elevated over the Estuary to give that view. I had given up on teh Severn until this mornings pic from t'other side.

I must have developed selective blindness! I was looking on the road down from Littledean, then I shifted my attention to Flaxley. Somehow I completely overlooked Pope's Hill in between...
