Game: Name that road!

The jagged thing does have history, and was bought some years ago by a company which proceeded to suck away all its lifeblood, leaving what was left to rot.

Both features are about three miles away.

A company of vampires?

@Aravis would I be right in thinking that the jagged thing, if you got right up to it, might look something like this?

@robjh if it does, don't forget you also ought to be able to see this:

I think I have several pieces of the jigsaw, but still can't quite fit the b*gger together

Thanks for the last one @robjh, an excellent puzzle.

Let's see how this one goes; the most distinctive landmark is by the sea, just right of the vertical centre line.

If no-one's solved it when I draw my old age pension, I'll post an image I took a few minutes later when I was much closer:

I've just checked, and the road doesn't seem to have a name, so...find it!

You are just about here, maybe a few yards behind this spot but using more of a zoom. It's a nameless road from Peterhead towards Gask, and almost due north of Slains new castle ('Dracula's castle') and the other unidentified tower. Bullars of Buchan sea inlet is a couple of miles away to the left.

I visited Slains castle a few years back, and the distant jagged outline, by the coast, struck a chord. A first google of Slains then turned up the 'Dracula's castle' epithet so I guessed I was onto something. Took me a while to find the other tower then work out the exact orientation from the point of the photo - then look three miles away and the rest was easy.

Congratulations, @robjh, immaculate sleuthing.

One of my clues has been helpful. Who'da thought? A look at Bram Stoker's wiki page would have quickly led to the same
conclusions.

Over to you :okay:
