That looks familiar, but it isn't where I first thought it was.
All roads lead to Wales...
I've done a fair bit of riding just there .I'm going to make a guess at somewhere on (the) Welsh Road, which those who've cycled in South Warwickshire may know. It sometimes goes by this name, sometimes by others, but can be traced from the MK area up through Southam and towards Warwick.
I thought it looked like the Fosse Way, but clearly it wasn't. The heavy clues above gave me a new area to search!

I've done most of the route where it still exists from Bacon's End to Buckingham Short Wikipedia entryI have almost ridden that stretch of road on my way from visiting one sister in Coventry to my other one in Towcester, but I opted for the nicer route through Napton-on-the-hill and Priors Marston instead.
