Anyone else find gardening to be diuretic?
Out in the garden again yesterday, clearing great loads of goose grass away, tidying up the lawn edges and getting rid of some of the more invasive weeds. 45 mins later, needed to dash in to the toilet. Liquid coming out was almost clear. This happened a couple of times.
And this isn't the first time either. For a number of years now I find that I can't spend too long in the garden without needing to come in. Which usually results in my wife complaining about muddy footprints in the house, as I get distracted by gardening duties and wait until the last moment, not leaving myself enough time to remove my walking boots.
But why? Alcohol, yes, I get it. Gardening? Especially when I am working hard, e.g. raking the moss out of the lawn and perspiring generously, and really shouldn't need the toilet.
