Garmin 200 and iPad Mini

Hi,

As the iPad Mini doesn't have a USB port, is there another way of connecting a Garmin 200 to it? Is there a connector available that you can link the USB to that then links to the iPad?

Cheers

Checkout garmins and apples website, there should be a way as a cable was available to convert the lightening port to usb

The iPad would need to be able to act as a USB host, i.e. see the Garmin as attached storage.

I think that's possible in Android devices supporting the "USB on the Go" standard, but I don't know whether Apple devices (or the iPad specifically) are able to behave as USB hosts. If not, no amount of cable jiggery pokery is going to help, sadly.

There's a decent explanation in the "Overview" paragraph of this wiki article;

I am afraid the only way to do this is a Bluetooth enabled Garmin, and then run Garmin Connect on the apple device.

Pair the two and when you save the track it will upload.

I do this with the 810 and IPhone
