GARMIN 810 - needs reset

Today after 100k or so and a coffeestop the speed and distance functions seemed to double up. I have tried off/on to escape what might be a loop and have stopped an activity and started a new activity but still the same results. So, I guess a reversion to factory defaults is required. Advice please.

Searching through mounds of papers unearthed a "boot block" advisory note from Garmin. A short test ride seems to confirm that the problem is solved.

I hope Garmin do not win a contract re driverless cars.
