Garmin Connect IQ Apps Problems

I have downloaded a couple of app from the connect IQ store for my edge 130 and they seem very hit and miss with them working.
I first downloaded wind field and it has always been problematic.The last few times i have used it,it says on the screen "NO PHONE" but the bluetooth on my phone says it is connected to the edge 130.I have then turned off and turned back on the bluetooth and then the screen is displaying wind 0 mph and with no wind direction arrow.
I have emailed the developer of the app who is swift to reply and he says my iphone keeps disconnecting to the app.Seeing that i don't live in a rural area and my phone network covers all the areas i go to i am not to sure.
Be grateful if anyone could shed some light on this problem.
