Getting old but not past it
I think my 820 has packed up. When switched on , the Garmin screen comes on and that's it. I thought the battery was dead first so I put it on charge but it doesn't seem to make any difference.
The sad thing is that it isn't that old, maybe possibly 3 years. I would have thought it would last longer than that. :cursing:

There ought to be a factory reset option somewhere. I’m not familiar with the Edge, but with button gps units its often achievable by powering up with several buttons held down together.
Might help?

You can reset them when this happens. There is a youtube video iirc

Well, there are only two buttons on the bottom of it, the rest is touch screen. Anyway, I pressed the buttons in all sorts of ways and hey, presto, it came back into life and seems to work alright now. ^_^
The proper test will come on my next ride, so fingers crossed.
