Not today but I often find the Garmin server up and down like the proverbial yoyo, try again later and it'll probably sync.

When you do get connected do the update to latest version of Garmin Express and then recheck for updates on the Garmin gadget - mine (that's a 200 and an Edge Touring) were both doing odd things until I sorted the latest versions (seems that the previous version of Express wasn't recognising the version of the gadget ... at least that's what Garmin Support told me last week)

So far so good ...

Check device manager and make sure the Garmin is there and doesn't have a yellow question mark. If it does, disable and re-enable. I've had to do this but my device is considerably older.

Had a similar problem a while back, After much searching I found this online as it seemed a fairly common problem. Not sure if my issue was the same but the instructions below worked for me at the time.

Apologies I can't acknowledge the original source as I simply copied and pasted into a word doc.

Hope it helps

In some cases depending on how the security software is setup along with User Account permissions can cause issues with what has been described in these posts. One thing you can try is forcing access to allow the Garmin Core Services to be allowed through to the internet. These steps may help correct some issues that you guys may be having.

1. Press the Windows key+R
2. Type "services.msc" and press Enter
3. Locate and right-click Garmin Core Update Service
4. Click Properties
5. Click on Log On tab
6. Select This account
7. Type "Network Service" in the Account field
8. Remove all text from both password fields
9. Click Apply, then click OK on the next three prompts
10. Right-click Garmin Core Update Service and Click Stop
11. Right-click Garmin Core Update Service and Click Start

If you have tried the above steps and nothing changes, and you have logged in as an administrator account disabled security and nothing changes you may need to use a different machine to perform the map update. Some third party program or feature on your computer is blocking the Garmin Express software.
