I have an 810 for the bikes, with hrm cadence and speed sensors, and an fr60 watch (no gps but ant+) for running. They've all been great, could be better but they do the job superbly. The iphone app is a bit rubbish, but the connect website's pretty good. When training I would seriously miss these devices if I didn't have them, so highly recommend them

Edge 800 here and wouldn't be without it.

Etrex 20 just out of the box. Not cycle specific but should be suitable for my needs, ie maps and routing.

Looking at it. It makes more sense to get one that mounts to the bike as that's what I'll be using it for to be honest. What's the main differences between the 500 and 800

Edge 800 here, fantastic piece of kit as others have already said. Main difference between 800 and 500 is that the 800 has full moving colour map whereas the 500 has a breadcrumb trail with arrows to help you navigate.

I use mine for a fair bit of navigation and wouldn't be without the full moving map it's brilliant.

Edge 200 here, I was one of the 3 people who chipped in with L14M and Smokeysmoo and got the Halfords 3 for 2 offer.

Used it for the first time over the weekend, a lot lot better than a £10 wireless one. The display is lot better, mile marker beeps, auto pause when stopped at lights etc....no idea how I managed without for all this time

The 800 has a proper map on if you are following a route whereas the 500 is like a breadcrumb trail with no other features. I've just got a 510 and went out for a ride and followed the breadcrumb and it was fine. Just updated to the latest firmware and it alerts me to turns and says which way! It's awesome. Can't auto route on the 510 like the 810 though.

Garmin Edge 205 bought from Fleabay ages ago, and worth every penny.

Really want a 800 or touring but cant afford it right now.

I upload all rides to RWGPS for a complete log.
