Garmin upgrade

I've had a few issues with my Garmin 810 recently after a couple of years of being very reliable and I am now thinking of upgrading to the 820 and wondered if people think it is worth while paying for the upgrade?

I am only looking at Garmin so not interested in Wahoo/Element or any others thanks

The new 520 Plus looks very interesting, obviously that depends on what features you use on your 810. It is pretty cheap too.

That won't stop the fanbois from telling you you're stupid not to get one, I'm afraid...

What issues are you having with the 810? Hardware or software? I've never had to use it but I've heard good things about the Garmin customer services around hardware issues and upgrades.

Had a few cases of it randomly switching itself off and not recording part of the ride. I know this can be an issues with Garmin, however as I said its been great for a couple of years and like the ease of use and great features.
