Garmin705 Question

I am using a 705 with Topo GB map installed on it. The question is that if i use the Garmin in France, Will i still be able to see mileage, top speed, average speed etc . I know that the route finding part will be no use but i am not sure about the other bits.

It will still work but you'll have no map.

How about getting the DVD version of the City Navigator Europe - handtec.co.uk are about the cheapest place.

Although the "detail" may vary, most of Europe is covererd by the Open Street Map. the detail should be fine unless you are right off the beaten tracks

Use exactly as you would the normal maps once installed - importantlly they are free

You can use it in the UK - I didn't buy the Topo maps as I mainly use the 705 on road in the UK.
