Puzzle game procrastinator!
Name-dropping time! (*Cough*)

When I was riding with*** the great Robert Millar, I noticed that his chain never left the 53 ring. He twiddled away effortlessly on that whatever the terrain was doing. He did occasionally resort to a poor chainline on climbs but I don't suppose that he was used to paying for his own bike kit when it wore out.

It is a real eye-opener to see what a top rider can do, even one who had been retired for a few years. He'd hang about at the back of the group chatting, and then just sprint up to the front whenever the road tilted uphill. It was almost like he was on a motorbike!

*** Okay, not exactly 'with', more 'behind, for a while'! He was testing a load of top bikes for Pro Cycling magazine and was staying at the same Costa Blanca hotel that our road training camp was based at and came out with us a few times. I only managed to stay in contact during the warm up at the start of the ride and then fell back with the slow group.
