I had several very low speed falls when I first got back into cycling as an adult, all my own fault, and usually with amused witnesses.

Physics has little to do with it

I always remember my most painful fall from a bike, when I was about 7 I think.

Hurtling around the garden at home on my BMX, heading towards the wall of the house, turned the handlebars, something had come loose/broken and so they turned, but the wheel didn't and I hit the wall head on and flew over the handlebars. Boy that hurt! My chin grew about an inch!
