Just bought this lovely machine. An impulse buy I didn't know I wanted. Handbuilt H Son Plus and Halo wheel set on a Genesis Flyer frame set. It's not been ridden at all since it was built. I've ridden it to work today (all of one mile!) and I'd forgotten how much fun single speed riding is. When I get round to it I'll flip the hub and run it as fixed.

That’s a lovely Flyer! I had one and foolishly sold it, I’ve been looking for another one (52cm) ever since.
I did my first fixed gear century on it, they are very comfortable for all day rides.
Have you tried fixed yet?

I've ridden a good bit of fixed wheel over the years. I still have a Kona Paddy wagon, all kitted out with a rack and mudguards and a hub dynamo setup, which for a while was my winter commuter for a 40 mile round trip across the Forest of Dean. I also have a ridiculous (but fun!) fixed wheel Dawes Kingpin which I built for a bit of a joke but which actually rides really nicely. So I didn't really need another fixie, but I couldn't resist it!
