It's been a while since we stayed in Geneva, i can recommend climbing up the cathedral tower.
We caugt the train from airport as we were staying near the main station, there is probably a cheaper bus option.

Been a while since I was there, but yeah, take wads of cash!. I did a tour of the UN building (just before they did the nuke treaty negotiations), plus you gotta go and see the famous Jet d'eau, as featured in the opening sequence of The Champions:

The airport is only about 3 miles as the crow flies from the city so I expect transfer should be quick.

Maybe try to get a train to Lausanne, the Olympic museum well worth a visit

For a big thrill and if the weather is nice, take a local bus (SAT I think) to Chamonix and go up the Aiguille du Midi cable car. Take warm coats and oxygen.
