Has anyone (cyclist) got into a full on fight with a motorist or someone else due to your cycling. Last year someone called a me a "black c#%t" I wanted to knock him out but I ignored him and rode on.

He was jogging in my direction so I rang my bell, and he told me to "get out of the way". I said "no" and then he insulted me.

He had two dogs with him. He wanted to fight me. But I rode on.

Yes twice. Very hard to avoid when a rager gets out if his car/white van and starts hitting you.

Not a full on fight...but had an incident last year with a car full of teenagers who cut me up at a roundabout...all it took was for me to put the driver on his arse (just a gentle shove) for the rest of his mates to back off....these things happen and i do my best to avoid any kind of incident verbal or physical...its just not worth it

No, but if I could have got my hands on the passenger in a white van who leaned out of his window, smiled at me and then deliberately gobbed thick green phlegm into my face, I would have been sorely tempted to! :cursing:xx(

all sorts of nobbers on bikes in the Surrey Hills, on-road and off. Saw a few riders have a slanging match last weekend that looked like it was escalating but I rode on. Those coming down the hill at high speed on the singletrack road took great exception to being confronted by a bunch of climbers effectively blocking thier descent.

as to my man he undertook me, swerved to the right to avoid the potholes I was in extreme primary to avoid, clipped my front wheel and had us both off, at speed. And while I was rebooting stood over me effing and jeffing about how it was my fault. Then when I got up he started jabbing me in the chest with his finger and telling me I was going to have to pay for the damage to his bike. And hectoring me on not wearing a helmet. I asked him to stop prodding me. He didn't. So I stopped him doing so. Soaked in sweat he may have weighed nine stone, On a good day I'm fourteen and six two. Nobber.

But not my finest hour.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.

That is disgusting. I don't understand some people, and the way they act. Why can't they treat people as they would like to be treated? It is truly a sad world we live in.

That's hideous ,dirty bugger's …
There was absolutely no doubt that it was deliberate. The van slowed down and the passenger smiled at me. I though he wanted directions so I was looking straight back at him when he did it. The driver was howling with laughter as they sped off up the hill ...

It was a beautiful summer evening and I had been looking forward to my ride but I was so shaken and angry afterwards that I decided it wasn't safe for me to continue so I turned and went home.

I doubt if he would have been as 'brave' if he'd been by himself.
