I read recently that God turns away people who have had cosmetic facial surgery as he doesn't recognise them.

Can anyone confirm the veracity of this?

No it is not true, when you die you go spiritually and not bodily

Assuming you're talking Christianity here, yes and no. The Catholic Church still believes in the resurrection of the flesh (although not quite as literally as they used to), Anglicans take it as a kind of spiritual copy - but the original body is still implicated. As to what actual body the spiritual body is a copy of, some platonic or genetic ideal, the body at birth, at death or whatever, who knows?

It's all clearly rubbish anyway.

So I should risk the nose job?

Don't risk it, from what I hear Michael Jackson didn't make it in.... although that might be for other reasons (allegedly).

So heaven has different departments, based on the religion of the previously dead person. In some of these there are things looking like flesh beings and others just a spirit. And some of our Islam warriors are hoping for a bunch of virgins waiting for them. Does not sound terribly heavenly to me.
