Getting logged out and no notifications

Keep getting the message "the active user has changed" meaning I have to go all through the login process again.

Also don't get notifications of new posts in threads I've posted in.

Been going on for months but getting irritating enough that I'm not coming here very often now.

Did a quick Google and the simplest and easiest thing is to make sure you check the "stay logged in" box on the login screen. But I'm guessing you've tried that.

Other causes all seem to be down to forum config which would affect lots of people not just you.

There's always cookies. Clear cache/ cookies from your browser and switch it off and switch it on again, turn round three times and spit is often the helpdesk "I don't have a clue but try this" option.

similar to what i get every so often , i get logged out even halfway through replying to a message at times .

That's never happened to m

Clear your cache, restart, etc.

No widescale issues reported on the site.

Again, if it is not site-wide it is unlikely to be a site issue.

Are you using a VPN?

I've recently been trying the free VPN in Firefox and CC logs me out every time I navigate to a new thread. No other site does this and if I disable the VPN just for CC it's back to "normal".
