Getting one up on the Daily Mail

Towards the end of last year I had one of my videos stolen by the daily mail. They put it up on their website and added their adverts in front of it.

I decided to take them on for a copyright breach, and whilst they offered small increments from 50 to a 'final' offer of 250. I managed to get them for 1,000!

Now this is money isn't for me, I decided before I started the process of chasing them down, that I would donate all of it to charity, due to the nature of the video (about the cycle deaths we had towards the end of the year, filmed at a vigil held by the LCC), I have decide to donate it all to the London Cycling Campagin.

Gaz, re the point in your blog re tax, if you gift aid the money to LCC, they will be able to claim back the tax you have deducted from the donation
