I've considered this, but with baby and wifey that cannot drive in rural sticks and cow pat... it's not going to happen for a while.
Trips/visiting - car hire, a weekend can be had and you can pick a vehicle to suit, if you want to go on a long trip you could get a large people carrier, or just a quick jaunt on your own, a Ford Ka etc
Airports - paying someone to do the run tbh, budget flights tend to leave at bad hours for public transport
Shopping - online, quick shops at village shop etc, yes prices are SLIGHTLY higher, but would cost more just to drive to get them from the city.
Work - 10 miles, 3 different bikes and survived the winter
I do have access to borrow a car off the parents, and soon my sister

cheeky, just don't skint and pay them just petrol money.
I haven't gotten rid of my car yet because it's not worth much in resale, so im going to see how the next MOT goes.
