I am getting rid of something that i have had for all of my 63 years.Apart from a few years in my 20's.
This thursday i go into hospital just for a day to have a squint straightened. At the moment i can only see half of my left eye.It has got worse over the past five years.Good old NHS i only saw the bloke on 6th Feb doing it 21st how brilliant is that 15 days only since he said yes.

Good luck with the operation!

A mate of mine had his squint fixed when he was in his 40s and his eyes were a lot better afterwards. (It also might have saved his life because the docs picked up on a major health problem while they were at it!)

Being very ignorant on the subject of squints i have to ask what happened to it for a few years in your 20's ?

I was born with an inward squint like this youngman.

Then at twenty for cosmetic reasons,i started looking for a girlfriend,i had it pulled into the middle. But over the years it has started to be pulled the other way now looking outward like this other young lad.

But mine has gone that far i can only see half an eyeball. And i am worried it might just get pulled totally out of sight. So the muscles are going to be stiched so it sits smack bang in the middle.Once again it's only cosmetic the eyesight will not improve.More or less blind in the eye it's self.

I wish you well postman:smile:

I thought this thread was going to be about getting rid of the clutter that builds up in a house over the years. That's what I'm doing today^_^

I ask this in the most respectful tone possible, but when ones eyes aren't aligned to the extent shown in the second photo can the owner see straight?

I have to wear prismatic lenses because my eyes are slightly out of alignment, and I can see without glasses but if I were to do detail work or use a computer screen it would hurt my brain after a while.
