As said further up, OK if it's not going to do you harm. If the situation presents itself and you can, get off and return fire. Mind you, harmless snowball fights can turn ugly!
I got snow balled last night when I got back on the estate, but not much I could do as it was my kids! They gave chase but I managed to outrun them, but I was craping myself as it was really slippy.
I was snowballed the other day , it was quite funny to hear them smacking into my rucksack and the one that flew past my head was quite impressive in size ! ! Thankfully i came away unscathed so i can see the funny side.
twice yesterday, one hit my leg, barely noticed it. the other my backpack - amusing really as the poor soul who did it was stuck in a 8 mile traffic queue (which he had no way of knowing heh)
I recall when i was at school, a guy in my year played baseball as a junior.
He used to compact the snow really tightly and had one hell of a throw and pretty damn good aim. You always had to make sure you where standing behind him.
I was walking down some steps a few winters back when a couple of young boys suddenly jumped up from behind a wall and lobbed a very icy snowball at me from short range which caught me smack in my right eye.
I let out what was evidently a blood-curdling scream because the two lads ended up whimpering and cringing in fear behind the wall. I calmed myself down and told them not to be frightened but to please be more careful in future. They had hurt me and their next victim might not be quite so understanding about it!
