Giant ebike cable port too small

My Giant ebike has its control cable, front light wires, rear brake tube and gear cable all routed internally through a hole only fractionally bigger than them in the down tube. Later Giant ebike have removable cover which provides access to a larger hole allowing the control cable to pulled out so that a connector on it can be undone. I need to change the controller on the handlebar and that will seem to require the motor removing along with the rear brake tube and gear cable.

Alternatively later models have a larger hole in the downtube. Would their be any issue enlarging it?

Looks like it. Local ebike shop referred me to a new Giant store that has opened in Leeds
Emailed them, can they do it and can they collect? There is a Giant dealer in Ripon but they will not collect
Hence if a response is negative the thought of could the hole be enlarged.
