Itching to get back on my bike's
- Location
- Northamptonshire
And they were designed by Mike Burrows as far as I can see, so that gives them a good pedigree.
Thanks. I'm learning even more about the Halfway - One day I may find one to buy locally?
Had a Halfway some years back that was 'dumped' on my by the GLW because she didn't like the handling.
I sold it a couple of years later for the same reason and now have a Brompton M3 with which I am well pleased.
Interesting that it's very rare to see a Halfway anywhere now.![]()
Its all subjective I think my halfway rides well rode a 3 speed Brompton but only round the block Not impressed, maybe if I would have rode it for a week I might have changed my opinion!Had a Halfway some years back that was 'dumped' on my by the GLW because she didn't like the handling.

I had a Giant Halfway which i took to Nigeria some years ago.
It was hammered around an oil terminal 20km/day 180 days/yr for 8 years in all weather. (getting on 30k km's)
Apart from chains/sprockets and other minor maintenance items it stood up amazingly well.
(the hinge was getting a bit loose towards the end though :>)
I just picked one up but it didn't come with the carrier.
Would anyone know where I could pick one up?
