You are correct. Roam 3 have v-brakes only. But in my place, they only have Roam 2 size S. So I am considering the Roam 2 and bit concerned about the hydraulic disc brakes. Hydraulic brakes once broken, it needs replacement. But mechanical disc brakes can still go the distance.

Tektro discs aren't the best, not that I've had any issues with mine. They can be a bit squeaky in the wet, but that goes for most brakes!

Which do you think is better? mechanical or hydraulic? Hydraulic once busted, we can't ride the bike anymore. BTW, I really love V-brakes. Very simple and never fails.

Get V brakes then I've never used mechanical discs so can't comment. I've also never broken hydraulic ones

Yeah. Better get v-brakes. But no Roam 3 size S in my area.

I have never had any problems with the hydraulic disc brakes on my Roam 2 in over a years use. They are very effective.
