Hello!

I wonder if anyone has been to Gibraltar and successfully hired a decent road bike to use to ride into and around Spain?

Just after a daily hire kind of thing, but don't want to end up on one of those touristy shopping bike kind of things.

Please give me many positive stories regarding this issue.

Cheers!

I am cycling down there leaving tomorrow! But I suspect the answer is no for Gib, but there are bike shops in La Linea over the border. This one http://www.cicloscollado.net/ does not mention hire, but this list http://www.paginasamarillas.es/tien...linea-de-la-concepcion/all-ba/all-pu/all-nc/1 does mention Isajob and says they rent (alquiler)

Thanks a lot!

Are you looking for somewhere to hire from as well or are you taking your own bike?

I've since discovered it'll cost £25 each way to take my road bike and I'm actually considering doing that if I can get a box sorted, etc.

Have a great trip!

Riding around Spain....if you get the chance may I suggest arcos de la fronterra ...lovely little cliff top village

It's likely that I'll only have 1 day in Spain, so was planning on getting a train to Ronda and then doing a ride from there to Zahara de la Sierra, where there's a nice 8 mile climb, with a 7.5% average gradient, to do battle with.

Puerto de las Palomas, I believe.
