You wonder if the heat has sapped everyone.
It seems pretty common that the big mountain stages get less action then the medium mountain / hilly stages. Everyone just trying to survive and hope their rivals drop off.
I have had most of the Giro running in the background but haven't been glue to the screen on many stages. However, I can't recall seeing them riding above the snow line this year. Have I just missed it? I can't recall watching a year where they haven't had snowy mountain passes or even snow falling on the stage (with several being cancelled / shortened). It feels more like the Tour this year.
Looks knackered....Looks like Prodhomme will stay clear, he seemed nailed on to be caught a few km back.
Adam Yates has had a disappointing Giro. He looked so strong in the Tour last year but hasn't been anywhere near that level.
