Blah, blah, blah, he's already accumulated nearly as many ranking points this season as he did all last year (yes, there were those pesky Olympics) but I don't recall anyone suggesting it was a 5 month project to become a GC GT contender.
I think it's been an encouraging start to his time at Q36.5

Having to ride a lot more often might have something to do with that.
At the end of this Giro, he will have raced 44 days already this season.
Last year he rode 52 days and in 2023, it was 54.
He’s now 25 and hasn’t just started learning the GC ropes.
Still, it’s good to remain optimistic.

If he's happier at Q36.5 then great, but the dominant narrative that the split was all Ineos's fault just seems ridiculous to me

Mads P, Cattaneo and De Pretto have been 10"-30" off the front for ten minutes now as the peloton tries to get its shoot together
They may be getting a tiny bit of moto-pacing....

Late back last night from Naples,great city enjoyed what I saw of the race...I'm not going to get away with laying on the couch still hungover all weekend.

Sympathy seems thin on the ground...off to work ☹️
