Chapeau Casper Van Uden..great ride by Picnic from what I watched.First second and third for the Dutch.
Sh1t final circuit for a sprint stage though....I'm surprised there wasn't more crashes.
Max Kanter was relegated from 5th to 103rd for some pushing and shoving with Pedersen....UCI deciding Astana are collecting too many points ?😂

TV seemed to say it was for swerving across Groves's front wheel, but we won't know until someone publishes that bit of the daily penalties bulletin. And probably not then because it'll be something vague like 'irregular sprinting'

"shoulder blows in the final" it says, so I think that was on Pedersen, not chopping across Groves. Guess you can't thump the pink jersey on TV and expect to get away with it, can you?

Interesting as he almost took Kaden Groves down as he barged across him, and then proceeded to barge into Mads P. It was very dangerous riding and caused Groves to have to stop pedalling, and it was lucky Groves managed to stay upright and not result in a big pile up. Relegation and a fine were the right thing.

I find Robbie McEwen funny when they discuss these dangerous riding incidents. He goes off on one "riders these days don't know they're born ... It was just a nudge. In my day we would hit each other with cudgels. Total overreaction from the commisaires"

Not sure Vacek will be let off the leash if Mads is in with a shout - he's in pink and aiming for the ciclamino longer term
But with next to no MTF's this year I wouldn't be surprised to see the GC boys involved to try and grab some bonus seconds - especially as there's not been anything to really shake up the race yet. It only takes one of them to try something and all the others will follow
