Ayuso's a talented young rider but unfortunately his perceived talent doesn't match his ego, last years Tour de France when supposed to be riding in support of Pogacar and even at this Giro he just couldn't bring himself to say Yates was joint leader. I also think he is not the most liked teammate in the UAE XRG squad, I hear he spends most of this time training alone as he feels it helps him.

Were there problems at lat year's Tour? I don't remember (no surprise there I don't remember much)

I find it hard to imagine anyone having an ego big enough to be uppity about supporting Pog.

while I think there is something to these team dynamics stories I think they are over blown .
