Yes Caruso was the true Zubeldia. Yates was just very conservative until he wasn't.

For an opposing view I like Friebe, all the co hosts were great but it was especially joyful to have Friebe and Birnie together on a grand tour for the first time in too long.

I would give TCP at the Giro at least 4 🍷 out of 5

I can totally get Friebe being a "marmite" character, but for me he's THE most listenable current/recent cycling pundit. Birnie is a little dull, but they make a great double-act.

You can listen to punch-by-punch, watt-for-watt analysis of each stage and climb, with techie detail for [derogatory noun removed - Mods] on many web channels, but TCP brings unique doses of local culture; interview with odd, sometimes overlooked characters; great guests (like Lucky Larry Warbasse. And Chiro!!! ❤️ ). And restaurant reviews. Of course.

(Boulting is pretty good, but I reckon dreams of being more like Daniel :P . Instead, he and Millar just pretend to be eccentric and wacky.
EDIT: credit to Ned, he's a better commentator than general presenter. IMO better in that role than Hatch. I won't mention other current prolific commentators, it's bad for my blood pressure ...)

I'm not convinced that pulling favoured either of DT/Carapaz - but it definitely didn't favour Yates

I'm well aware that this goes on - and has since the days of Ordinary Racing - but it feels wrong to me. Hard to criticise DDB though in this particular situation, given he's nearly out of a job. Tricky ...
